Welcome!

My true passion lies in assisting individuals in discovering a career path that brings them joy. Creating a welcoming and supportive environment is essential to me, recognizing that clients often approach our sessions feeling overwhelmed and in need of a secure space to navigate their goals. I take pride in breaking down the career exploration process into manageable steps, allowing clients to establish relevant and attainable objectives. My ultimate goal is to help clients cultivate a positive perspective on life, equipping them with lifelong skills to delve deep into self-discovery and understand the correlation between their personal identity and their career choices. Together, we work towards career readiness and outline the necessary steps to reach their desired career path.

I was born and raised in Norton, and became a military spouse, which led me to South Carolina, where my career counseling journey began as a private tutor. As a tutor, I assisted high school students with academic subjects and college preparation tests which led to us discussing their future career and educational paths. Within this, I discovered a passion for guiding them in their career aspirations. Since then, I have immersed myself in various roles within higher education around the country including Admissions Counselor, Academic Advisor, Academic Career Counselor, and Academic Coordinator of Career Exploration. Most recently, I have begun teaching in the Business Department at a local college as an Adjunct Faculty member. Throughout these experiences, I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, supporting them in college admissions, major selection, academic success, career exploration, and readiness skills. Witnessing students find their next career steps has been incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from UMass Amherst. Initially, I aspired to become a travel agent or event planner. Although my career path took a different turn, I leveraged my transferable skills to assist individuals in planning their careers instead of vacations or events. To further expand my knowledge in the career field, I pursued a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, delving into the employment aspect. Along the way, I obtained certifications such as Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) in Career Counseling. I have actively participated in Academic Advising initiatives and continuously engage in professional development, and became a Certified Appreciative Advisor as well. Appreciative Advising, a collaborative and holistic approach optimizing educational goals, is the theory I frequently.

Although my husband is now a veteran and no longer in active military service, his service brought us back to our hometown, where we're now raising our three lively boys and our beloved family dog. I'm deeply passionate about holistic living, gardening, and creating meaningful connections with others and finding ways to support my community.
